Mark Cloutier, executive director of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, reflects on the last 25 years of the epidemic and offers a vision of hope for the future.

We talk with the cyclists before and after the first big hill of the ride, Quadbuster. The cyclists become donors at a local school fundraiser along the route. We'll hear about the new LAGLC Prevention On Wheels and talk with William Bland, SFAF's Director of Community Programs about what the Foundation is doing to build healthy communities through outreach. Finally, we'll sit down with Cyclist Craig Hermes and find out why he's riding for both SFAF and LAGLC.

What's a podcast?
Want to listen to the AIDS/LifeCycle podcast and it wasn't as easy as you'd hoped? No problem. This help page should have you up and running in no time.
A good way to think about a podcast is that it's like a recorded radio show that you listen to on demand by downloading it from the internet. With the explosion in popularity of podcasts lately, a bunch of new programs have come out to let you subscribe to podcasts so that you'll automatically have the latest one. These programs use a file that we put on our web servers to tell them when we have a new episode for you. They download the episode and you can listen to it on your computer or put it on your ipod or mp3 player.

Most people can listen to each episode of the podcast by clicking on the title of the episode in the blue player at the top of this page. If you don't see the Flash podcast player on this page underneath the title "Podcasts & Videos", it means you don't have a current version of Flash installed. You can get it for free by going to the Adobe Flash download site. Download the version for your operating system, follow the installation instructions and then re-open your browser and return to this page.
iTunes for subscribing and listening to podcasts
One of the most popular programs for subscribing and listening to podcasts is Apple's iTunes. This program is available for free for both Windows and Macintosh computers. It allows you to see pictures and links in the "now playing" window, and will let you skip to any chapter of the podcast. It's really the best way to experience our podcast.
Here's how to get iTunes and use it subscribe and listen to the AIDS/LifeCycle Podcast.

- Follow the instructions to download and install the program.
- After you've installed the program, click on the link below to find the AIDS/LifeCycle podcast.

- This will bring you to the AIDS/LifeCycle podcast listing in the iTunes music store podcast directory. You'll see a listing of the currently available episodes.
